[intro]Before you begin this Guide, you need to have created some Products on Printify and set up the integration to your EKM online shop. In this Guide, you’ll learn how to correctly configure the Delivery Methods on your EKM online shop to correspond with the orders being created via the Printify platform. [/intro]

When you have created your products on Printify and imported these into your EKM online shop, your next step is to set up your Delivery Methods. Even though you’re not shipping these Products out yourself, you’ll need to follow the steps in this Guide to ensure that what your customers are charged for delivery for their orders matches what is applied on Printify. There are two main options to choose from - you can either work the shipping costs into the price of your Printify Products and offer free shipping, or alternatively if you plan to list a single product type from a single supplier, you might find a Weight Based Delivery Method a lot more accurate.

[remember]If you have any non-Printify Products on your EKM online shop, you will need to configure your Printify Products to work alongside your existing Delivery Methods. Click on the relevant UK supplier to view their shipping costs:

Offering Free Shipping

One way of configuring shipping for your Printify Products is to include the shipping in the price when you configure the products on Printify. However, you need to bear in mind that as well as some advantages, this method has disadvantages too:

Pros:

  • Quick and easy to set up;
  • Allows you to list more than one kind of product from more than one supplier, increasing your product range;
  • Free Shipping is a good way to attract customers to purchase from you.

Cons:

  • Works fantastically well if you expect your customers to purchase one unit at a time, as they won’t be able to take advantage of combined shipping prices;
  • Your product prices will be higher, so this may put some customers off.

Where to add Free Shipping

1. Within your Printify account, when you’re editing individual products, tick the box to select all variations and then click the Edit Price button:

2. In the window that appears, you need to add the shipping costs (in dollars) from the relevant supplier’s page to the Retail Price (in dollars), before clicking the green Apply button:

3. When you have adjusted your prices, tick the box below to Publish Product To Your API Store:

4. You then need to click the green Publish button in the bottom right-hand corner:

5. Now you have added Free Shipping to the prices of your Printify Products, you need to set up a free Delivery Method on your EKM online shop. Log into your EKM online shop in a separate browser tab and from the Dashboard, click Settings at the bottom of the left-hand menu:

6. Now you need to click Delivery on the left-hand side:

7. Click the green Add Delivery Method button on the right-hand side:

8. On this page, you will be able to set up a single Delivery Method. Ensure that the drop-down menu at the top is set to Custom:

9. For the Delivery Method Settings, you need to complete the following fields. Country, Name, Display Name and Tax Rate. You don’t need to add a Price:

10. Then you need to scroll to the bottom of the page and click the green Save button on the bottom right-hand side:

Offering Weight Based Shipping

If your EKM online shop is only selling Printify products which are all the same product type from the same supplier - such as all the same kind of t-shirt in different designs to differentiate each product, for example - it is possible to use a Weight-Based Delivery Method. In this example, I’ll set up a Weight-Based Delivery Method for a Unisex Hoodie.

1. From the Dashboard, click Settings at the bottom of the left-hand menu:

2. Click Delivery on the drop-down options:

3. Click the green Add Delivery Method button on the right-hand side:

4. On this page, you will be able to set up a single Delivery Method. Ensure that the drop-down menu at the top is set to Custom:

5. For the Delivery Method Settings, you need to complete the following fields. Country, Name, Display Name and Tax Rate. You don't need to add a Price:

6. You then need to scroll further down the page and tick the box to Enable Weight Restrictions:

7. This will reveal your Weight Restrictions settings. We will be adding weights and prices under the Additional Costs header:

[tips]You can find the shipping costs for each of the UK-based Printify suppliers here:

8. In this example, I’ll be setting up my Weight-Based Delivery Method to ship out a Unisex Premium Pullover Hoodie from T Shirt And Sons to the UK only:

9. If we take a look at the shipping prices for T-Shirt And Sons, to ship this Hoodie to the UK only costs $6.30 for the first product and $1.60 for any additional Hoodies:

[remember]You can find out the weight of a single Printify Product by opening the Add/Edit Product window and clicking the Variants tab. Click Edit for any of the Variants, and then click the Attributes tab to reveal the Weight Attribute. Alternatively, you can export all of your Products using the Import/Export System and by following the steps in this Guide. [/remember]

10. If we use XE.com to convert these prices into GBP, this gives us £4.46 for a single hoody, plus £1.13 for each additional Hoodie. The next thing we need to do is add weights and prices into the Additional Costs area on our Delivery Method Settings Page, to reflect these prices. From the initial single Hoodie at the top of the list costing £4.46 to send, you need to add additional rows for the next weight bracket, ensuring that the price rises by £1.13 on each row by clicking the green Add Row button, like this. When you have added your weights and prices, click the green Save button in the bottom right-hand corner to save your Delivery Method:

[tips]Now you have set up a Delivery Method for the Printify Products on your EKM online shop, your next step is to add a Payment Gateway such as PayPal Checkout so your customers can pay for their orders. [/tips]
