Free Delivery Message Campaigns are designed to encourage your customers to purchase more products and receive free delivery on their orders.
[remember]The Free Delivery Message is a visual indicator for your customers. To ensure that free delivery is applied, you must set this as either one specific delivery method or an offer within the Discount Management feature. [/remember]
What your customers see
If you set up a Free Delivery Message Campaign, your customers will see this visual indicator in various places on your EKM online shop:
Product Page
Soft Cart
[caution]The Free Delivery Message will only display on the Soft Cart page of the Aerial Theme (and its variations) as standard. If your EKM online shop uses a legacy or custom Theme, please contact the Customer Support Team. [/caution]
Cart Page
Order Summary
When your customer has added the relevant items to the cart to qualify for your offer, the visual indicator will adjust accordingly and display in the same places:
Setting up the Campaign
1. Click the green Select button to the right of Free Delivery Message:
2. You’ll then see this submenu. Add the amount your customer must add to their cart for free delivery in the field provided. You will also need to ensure the switch to Track Spending is turned on, and we recommended ticking the box to display the progress bar as a visual indicator for your customer to increase the value of their order:
3. Below those settings, you’ll see a Color Picker window for you to amend the colour of the Progress Bar and a preview for how the Free Delivery Message will appear to your customers with the settings you’ve configured so far:
[remember]By clicking the Colour Picker window, you can select a colour by using the large square and the slider beneath to select your colour, but if you have the hex code for the exact colour you’d like to use, paste this in the Hex field before pressing the Enter key on your keyboard:

4. The last setting here is for the Free Delivery Action. Use the drop-down menu here to select what you would like to happen when the customer has added enough products to their cart to achieve free delivery:
Hide Message - When the customer has increased the value of their cart to the relevant amount, the free delivery visual indicators will be removed.
Free Delivery Message - This is the recommended option. If you select Free Delivery Message, you’ll see a second field appear below where you can add a generic message for your customer to let them know that they have got free delivery on their order. When you have finished populating this field, click the green Add Tactic button:
[tips]You can add emojis into the Free Delivery Message field by copying them from Get Emoji. Remember to keep the text in this field concise and check for grammar and spelling mistakes! [/tips]
5. You’ll then be redirected to the main Add Campaign page. To add an additional tactic to this campaign, click the down arrow on the far right-hand side:
6. You can then select from the list by clicking the relevant green Add button on the right-hand side:
7. You now need to arrange your Targets. Use the first drop-down menu on the far right-hand side to select which products will be involved in this campaign:
8. You can choose from All Products or Specific Products. If you select Specific Products, a Choose Products button will drop down:
9. Click the Choose Products button for this modal to appear. You simply need to select the Products you would like to use in this Campaign by ticking the box to the left-hand side of each one. You can search for products according to their name by using the search bar, or click Name on the far right-hand side of the Search bar, and you can search for products according to a specific Category. When you have selected the relevant products, click the green Add Products button in the bottom right-hand corner:
10. Now you need to choose which locations your Campaign will target:
All Locations pertains to all countries your EKM online shop will trade to, according to your settings on Order Restrictions, the Currency page within the back end of your EKM online shop, and of course, any Delivery Methods you have set up.
If you select Specific Locations, you’ll see a Choose Location button appear on the far right-hand side:
11. In the modal that appears, you can tick a box on the left-hand side of each country you wish to see your Campaign. You can search for specific countries using the search bar at the top of the window. When you have selected your countries, the next step is to click the green Add Locations button on the bottom right-hand side of the window:
12. Now you need to click the green Save button in the bottom right-hand corner of the page to save your Campaign:
13. The page will update, and you will be able to see your Campaign displayed within the feature:
