Providing customers with quotations is essential for some industries so with this in mind, you may find it useful to create Quotes on your EKM online shop which can then be emailed to your prospective customers.

Creating a Quote

1. From the Orders page, click Add Order in the top right-hand corner:

2. On this page, you can begin to build the order. If the customer you are creating this order for already has an account on your EKM online shop, you can search for their details - name or email address - using the search bar on the left-hand side:

Alternatively, you can click Browse to view all of the customer's details on your EKM online shop to locate your customer that way, or if they’re an entirely new customer, click Add New Customer:

3. When you have located your customer’s details, the left-hand side element will be populated. Your next step is to add products to the order. You can do this by using the Product search bar, or clicking the Browse button to find items that way:

4. In the window that opens, click the dot on the far left-hand side of the product and click the green Add button in the bottom right-hand corner to add that item to the order:

5. Repeat this process until you have added all of the items to the order. Now you need to scroll down to the Payment element and click Add Delivery on the left-hand side:

6. In the window that appears, use the drop-down menu to select which of your existing Delivery Methods you would like to apply to this order before clicking the green Apply button:

7. Now you can click the Save As Quote button in the bottom right-hand corner:

8. In the window that appears, you’ll see the quote all ready to send to your customer. It includes the order number within the subject line and a button that the customer can press to complete this order should they wish to. Click the green Send button in the bottom right-hand corner to send this email to your customer:

9. You’ll now see that the Type of order has been amended to Quote and is awaiting payment from the customer. This can be done via the link in the email you just sent to them, or if they contact you, you can click the green Take Payment button in the top middle of the page:

Creating a Manual Order

1. From the Orders page, click Add Order in the top right-hand corner:

9. Take payment from your customer, and you can now manually amend the Order Status from Pending to Processing:
