[intro]In this Guide, you’ll learn how to add and customise the Testimonials section on your EKM online shop.[/intro]

[caution]This Section is not available if you are using EKM Lite. To be able to add this Section to your Theme, you will need to upgrade your account. [/caution]

In the Testimonials section, you can display reviews of your EKM online shop as a whole from your profile on a third-party platform, such as Google Business Profile, TrustPilot or Reviews.io. You can display up to five different reviews in this section, so before you begin, it would be a good idea to copy these reviews onto a Notepad (.txt.) file (or TextEditor if you’re a Mac user). You need to copy the entire review, the customer’s name and then the number of stars they awarded you. Once you have a copy of your reviews, add this section to your EKM online shop and you can display these testimonials in a way that compliments your brand aesthetic. 

1. Ensure you have the Sections tab highlighted, scroll to the bottom of the Sections and click Add Section:

2. From the list, click Testimonials:

3. Now this section has been added to your EKM online shop, click the Edit symbol:

Design

4. Click to edit Design:

5. Here you can use the drop-down menu to select the Design of this section:

7. Below this, you can select how many reviews you would like to display using the drop-down menu provided. If you selected Design Two, you must add an image to each testimonial, and select the image alignment using the switch:

Review One, Two, Three, Four, Five

8. Click the down arrow next to each Review slide to open it:

9. With each of these areas, you need to paste the headline of the review into the Title field, and then use the slider to select the rating for the Testimonial:

10. Scroll a little further down and you can paste the review, the name of the customer and the date the review was made into the fields provided:

11. Finally, if you selected to use Design Two, you will need to upload an image to your review. Click Select Image:

[tips]The image for each review needs to be 1280 pixels wide by 720 pixels high. If you don’t have an image attached to the original review, you could use stock images that fit with the aesthetic of your EKM online shop. You can find lots of royalty-free images on Unsplash and Pixabay; be sure to optimise these by uploading them to TinyPng/TinyJpg before you add them to your EKM online shop to ensure that they display without negatively affecting your page loading speed.[/tips]

12. In the window that appears, click Upload Image in the top right-hand corner:

13. In the second window, click Select File:

14. When you have located the image on your computer, click Open:

15. You’ll then see a preview of the image in the window. Click Upload File:

16. Now you need to click the name of the image to add this to your review:

Styling

17. When you have finished adding your reviews, your next step is to click Styling:

18. Here you can amend the colour of the Text and the Background of this section. Each one uses a standard Colour Picker window. To edit the colour, click the box:

19. You can drag the circle in the larger window to select your shade, use the slider below that to select the colour, click one of the primary colours below to use one of those, or if you have a hex code for a specific colour, paste it into the field and press Enter on your keyboard:

20. Click to reveal the Slider Settings:

21. Here you can choose the transition between reviews by selecting from the Slide Type drop-down:

22. Below this, you can select the behaviour of this section by using the switches:

23. And finally, you can choose the Dot Navigation Colour by clicking the box and using the Colour Picker window as before, and choose the duration of the slides on the drop-down menu:

24. Finally, when you have finished editing all of the Settings for the Testimonials section, you need to click the green Save button in the bottom left-hand corner:
