[intro]When you have completed this Guide, you will have set up a ‘Click and Collect’ style Delivery Method, allowing your customers to collect their orders at your physical shop as opposed to shipping them to their addresses. [/intro]
[summary]
[/summary]
If you have a physical brick-and-mortar shop as well as an EKM online shop, you can offer a ‘click and collect’ style Delivery Method, where customers can come to your premises and collect their orders themselves. Depending on the type of Products that you sell, some customers prefer this method - especially if their order is urgently required.
Setting up the Delivery Method
1. From the Dashboard, click Settings at the bottom of the left-hand menu:
2. Click Delivery on the left-hand side:
3. Click the green Add Delivery Method button on the right-hand side:
4. On the Delivery Template page, you need to ensure that the Delivery Type is set as Custom in the top drop-down menu and that the United Kingdom is set as the Country:
5. Scrolling further down this page, you will need to give this Delivery Method a Name, such as ‘Click & Collect’, ‘Collect Instore’ or similar, and copy this into the Display Name field. Within the Description field, add some text which confirms the address of your physical shop where your customer can collect their order. The Price of this Delivery Method is, of course, free, and in the Delivery Notes field, you will need to add the address of your physical shop again and the opening times.
Location Restrictions
It’s optional as to whether you add Location Restrictions or not, but to do so would ensure that only customers within certain areas would be able to see your Click & Collect Delivery Method.
1. If you wish to use Location Restrictions, tick the box on the far right-hand side:
This will reveal the options you can choose from when setting up your Location Restrictions.
Restrictions Type - Order Radius
2. The first drop-down menu is Restrictions Type, where you can choose to filter customers according to an Order Radius measured in miles from your Shop Postcode:
Restrictions Type - Postal Areas
3. If you instead opt to use the Postal Areas option from the Restriction Type drop-down menu, you can either select specific Postcodes to be Allowed (so your Click & Collect Delivery Method will be visible to customers with these postcodes) like this:
4. Or you can set specific Postcodes to be disallowed so customers whose Postcodes fall within this group will not be able to see your Click & Collect Delivery Method, like this:

Price Restrictions
1. Price Restrictions on a Click & Collect Delivery Method are optional - if you don’t wish to apply them, simply scroll down to Weight Restrictions. Tick the box on the far right-hand side to enable Price Restrictions:
Minimum Order Value
2. To impose a Minimum Order Value on this Delivery Method, tick the box on the far right-hand side:
3. This will reveal a field where you can add in a Minimum Order Value, so customers whose orders don’t reach this minimum limit will not be able to use your Click & Collect Delivery Method:
Maximum Order Value
4. To impose a Maximum Order Value on this Delivery Method, tick the box on the far right-hand side:
5. This will reveal a field where you can add in a Maximum Order Value, so customers whose orders reach beyond this upper limit will not be able to use your Click & Collect Delivery Method:
[remember] Whether you set a Minimum Order Value or Maximum Order Value, the total will always be the subtotal of the order, without tax being applied. [/remember]
Additional Costs
6. Further down the page, you’ll see Additional Costs. This generally won’t apply to the majority of EKM online shops offering a Click & Collect Delivery Method:
7. However, if this is something you want to set up and charge your customers an additional cost for collecting their order in store, you would add this cost into the field provided, and click the green Add Row button to apply this to your Delivery Method:
Weight Restrictions
1. Like Price Restrictions, the chances are that you won’t need to use Weight Restrictions on your Click & Collect Delivery Method. However, if it is something you would like to set up, click the box:
Minimum Order Weight
2. This will reveal the weight settings. You can set a Minimum Order Weight by ticking the box:
3. This will reveal a field where you can add a minimal weight value to be applied to this Delivery Method:
Maximum Order Weight
4. Equally, you can also add a Maximum Order Weight by ticking the box:
5. Again, this will reveal a field where you can add in a maximum weight value to be applied to this Delivery Method:
Additional Costs
6. You can also add Additional Costs should you need to. However, if this is something you want to set up and charge your customers an additional cost for collecting their order in-store, you would add this cost into the field provided, and click the green Add Row button to apply this to your Delivery Method:
When you have applied a minimum of Location Restrictions to your Delivery Method, simply scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the green Save button on the far right-hand side:
[tips]You could advertise this new Delivery Method to all of your customers to encourage footfall within your physical shop, by adding text to your outgoing emails. You can do this by following the steps in this Guide and adding details about the Click & Collect Delivery Method, your physical shop address and opening hours. This would also work well as a Webpage on your EKM online shop too. [/tips]
