Configuring Alexa
1. Open the Alexa app on your mobile or alternatively if you're using your computer, click here to log into your Amazon Alexa account:
2. When you’re logged in, click Skills on the left-hand side:
3. Using the search field at the top of the page, search for ‘EKM’:
4. Click EKM in the results:
5. Click the blue Enable button on the top right-hand side:
6. Now you need to click the Settings button on the top right-hand side:
7. Click Link Account on the top right-hand side:
8. This will take you to the EKM login page. Login using the details for your EKM online shop:
9. You will then see this page. Click the green Allow button:
10. You’ll then see this page which notifies you that your Amazon Alexa account and EKM online shop account have been linked together:
Using Alexa
Where there are {order-status} this means that you replace it with the relevant Order Status ‘Pending’, ‘Failed’, ‘Cancelled’, ‘Refunded’, ‘Processing’, ‘Dispatched’ or ‘Completed’. If you use custom Order Statuses on your EKM online shop, Alexa will be able to recognise these too.
To begin, you need to tell Alexa: 'Open my EKM shop' and wait for Alexa to advise you to give the next command. Choose from the list below:
Count orders by status
Commands:
- Alexa, ask my EKM shop how many {order-status} orders have I had?
- Alexa, ask my EKM shop how many {order-status} do I have?
- Alexa, ask my EKM shop how many {order-status} I have?
- Alexa, ask my EKM shop how many orders do I have with a status of {order-status}?
- Alexa, ask my EKM shop how many orders I have with a status of {order-status}?
- Alexa, ask my EKM shop to count {order-status} orders?
- Alexa, ask my EKM shop how many {order-status} have I got?
Count orders by date
Examples of a date are:
- Today
- Yesterday
- This week
- Last week
- This year
- Last weekend
- This decade
Commands:
- Alexa, ask my EKM shop if have I had any orders {date}?
- Alexa, ask my EKM shop how many orders I have had {date}?
- Alexa, ask my EKM shop how many orders I've had {date}?
- Alexa, ask my EKM shop how many orders {date} I've had?
- Alexa, ask my EKM shop how many orders have I got {date}?
- Alexa, ask my EKM shop how many orders I've got {date}?
- Alexa, ask my EKM shop how many orders {date} I've got?
- Alexa, ask my EKM shop how many orders {date}?
At the moment, you can only ask Alexa two questions about the status of your EKM online shop.
