You will need to add the member of staff to your Facebook Business account first before you can assign them to your Catalogue and other aspects of the Facebook Business Manager platforms.

In this Guide, you’ll learn how to add one of your members of staff to your Facebook Business account to help you manage your Facebook presence. You need to make sure that you have linked assets - such as your Facebook Page - to your commerce account before you can add any additional members of staff.
Locating the Setup Guide
1. When you first log into your Facebook Business account, scroll down the menu on the left-hand side of the page:
2. Setup Guide is located right at the very bottom:
Scroll down to the final part of the Setup Guide ad you’ll see it is related to People, namely any staff you have that you wish to assign aspects of your Facebook presence to. You can read more about the different roles and permissions you can grant staff here and it is recommended by Facebook that any additional staff are added as Employees as opposed to full admins.
Adding a member of staff to your Facebook Business account
3. Before you begin, you will need to have the email address of your employee to hand as this is required to link them to your Facebook Business account. To add an employee, click the Add Employee button:
4. In the window that opens up, add your employee’s email address into the field provided, before clicking the blue Next button:
5. In the next window, you need to tick the box next to your Facebook Page name, and then you can click the relevant switches on the right-hand side to govern what permissions that member of staff has on your Facebook Page before finally clicking the blue Invite button:
6. You’ll then see this window to confirm that an invite has been sent to your member of staff. Click the blue Done button:
What your member of staff will see
7. The email that your member of staff will receive looks like this, they just need to click the blue button:
8. They then need to click Continue:
9. Then they need to add their name into the field provided, before clicking to continue:
10. Then they need to click the blue button to accept the invitation:
11. This window will display. Click the blue button:
12. This will then direct your member of staff to a version of the Facebook Business account that corresponds with the permissions that you have assigned that particular person:
What you will see
13. Within your Facebook Business account, you’ll then see that your employee is listed as ‘Pending’ until they have accepted the invitation. If you need to resend the invitation, click the Resend button on the top right-hand side:
14. When your member of staff has accepted the invitation, you will see them listed against your Facebook Page:
