[/summary]

Facebook Business Manager is the platform you need to use to manage your different Facebook platforms for your EKM online shop, such as your Facebook Page and your Instagram account. Even if you don’t plan on investing in Facebook ads just yet, you’ll still need to use Facebook Business Manager to manage and monitor your different profiles.

How to open a Facebook Business Manager Account

1. To begin, click here and then click the blue button in the top right-hand corner of the page:

2. In the window that appears, you will need to add the name of your EKM online shop and your business email address, before clicking the blue Submit button on the bottom right-hand side:

[tips]Ensure that the email address you add is not the same as the email address associated with your existing Facebook account. The email address listed here must be used for your Facebook Business account only. [/tips]

3. You’ll then need to wait a minute for the email confirmation to be sent to your business email address. When it arrives, click the link within it:

4. This will redirect you to your new Facebook Business account:

5. Down the left-hand side of the page is a menu, listing all of the different settings available to you. When you first opened your Facebook Business account, you added your business name. Within your Facebook Business account, this becomes what is called a ‘commerce account’ and you will see the name of your business on the top left-hand corner of the menu.

[tips]Here you’ll find Guides to help you configure your EKM online shop with your Facebook Business Manager account:

There are a lot of different options and settings available in your Facebook Business Manager account, and you may not need to use all of them, based on the nature of your EKM online shop and whether you have decided to invest in Facebook advertising yet. Any settings that you will need to use to begin with have been detailed accordingly.

Users

To begin with, you will need to use the People setting if you have other staff that work at your EKM online shop where it’s part of their roles to help you manage different aspects of your Facebook presence.

People

When you click the People tab, you will see a link to your own name on the right-hand side. This is where Facebook has linked your personal Facebook profile to your Facebook Business Manager account.
