[intro]Before you begin you need to have opened a Gmail account and account on Zapier. You also need to have added Stripe as a Payment Gateway.[/intro]

This is very useful if you have set up subscription Products on your Stripe account, as this zap will send you an email whenever the customer’s card has been charged, prompting you to update your EKM online shop Orders page and dispatch the purchase. 

1. Log into your Zapier account and click to make a Zap:

2. Change the name of your zap by clicking the text in the top left-hand corner, and then use the search bar to search for Stripe:

3. Click the Stripe icon when it is displayed in your search results:

4. Select ‘New Charge’ as the Trigger Event, before clicking Continue:

5. Select your Stripe account details from the drop-down menu, before clicking Continue:

[remember]If you can’t see your Stripe account details here, you will be asked to log into your Stripe account and give Zapier permission to link to it. [/remember]

6. You’ll then be asked if you want this zap to include the Failed Charges. Set this to ‘Yes’ before clicking Continue:

[tips]If your customer’s card has a failed charge for a subscription payment, you may want to contact the customer to advise them accordingly. They may want to cancel their subscription package, or alternatively, they may have cancelled the card in error. Either way, it’s a good opportunity to provide excellent customer service. [/tips]

7. Click Test & Continue to ensure that Zapier has made a connection with your Stripe account:

8. Use the search bar to look for Gmail, clicking the Gmail icon when it appears:

[remember]If you have not previously linked your Gmail account to Zapier, you will be asked to log in and allow permissions at this point. Simply add your login details in the window provided. [/remember]

9. Select ‘Send Email’ from the Choose Action Event drop-down menu, before clicking the blue Continue button:

10. Select your email address from the drop-down menu before clicking Continue:

11. You can now customise the email by completing the relevant fields. If you are creating this zap to remind you to process subscription Products on your EKM online shop, you will need to send this automated email to yourself or whichever member of staff it is who usually processes and dispatches your orders. Be sure to complete all of the required fields on this form, and when you have completed this form, click the blue Continue button:

12. Now you need to click Test & Continue:

13. You should now see this notification. Click the blue button to turn on your zap and whenever a card is charged in your Stripe account, you’ll receive an email notification to remind you to process the order:
